Inspired by a mandate to repurpose existing works. I sacrificed some old paintings, cut the into pieces, and then reassembled them in to new compositions. After moving from Downtown Kitchener out to the suburbs in November 2017 I discovered a nearby tract of forest. Apparently 11 years of living in the city left a bit of a natural deficit on my psyche. These paintings explore and express my gratitude for the natural world. I'm still working on titles for some of them.
